Looking to get a little more green in your life? You could plant some grass in your back yard, or you could just buy one of these rings by Hafsteinn Juliusson. A Couple of years ago, my wife and I spent a few hours in Macy’s doing what we called the Celebrity Smell-Off. Over the course of this time, we smelled Britney, Paris, Sex and the City, and even Desparate Housewives. But all the time, I wanted a real man’s scent that I might take home. Finally, one that I can really get behind: The scoul in the white tuxedo, I like to call him. That’s right. P-Diddy. Now, if I could only get a sample of this to see if the sweet life is really for me.

I’ve been meaning to write about this small Finnish company for quite some time. You need a fabric for your design that incorporates a kind of 80s collage DIY aesthetic? This might very well be the designers to look at. Their fabric work suggests industrial wastelands, flowers juxtaposed with grainy penwork of enlarged Maurice Sendak children’s books, and gritty abstract lines.

This design from Birkiland merges two important functions into one simple package. You can keep yourself completely dry from rain while punching someone with a dibilitating blow to the face with this invention.

I really don’t see myself ever using this invention except maybe in a rough and rainy London Neighborhood? A bit too James Bond-ish for my personal tastes, but I’m always wooed by the product mashup.

Glue Jeans get rid of the traditional threaded seam and go stright for the glue, which in this age means that you probably will have a much more robust and longer lasting seam. Beyond the quality of the seam, they also come in a variety of colors. The only criticism is the name: glue jeans is so very Dutch and full of pun, however, a lasting brand name generally doesn’t have such a witty play on words. For the American market, think of a one Syllable word with some punch that is not a common noun. Maybe GLU with an umlaut over the "U"?
