The Design Crack Guide to design magazines
360 Degrees Magazine
360 degrees is a relatively young design magazine focusing on Chinese Design. I’m sorry to say that I have not yet read this yet, but I hope to pick up a copy soon.
Design Indaba
“Design Indaba’s primary aim is to advance the cause of design as a communication fundamental, a business imperative and a powerful tool in industry and commerce.

Pol Oxygen
Pol Oxygen is a quarterly design, art, and architecture magazine. If there wasn’t enough already… Still, I can’t get enough of this stuff, and this is a really competent magazine, so I put it on the list.
Beautiful Decay
“Beautiful/Decay’s format is revolutionary in that it documents the convergence of fine art, design, fashion, graffiti and other relevant forms of art; exposing the magazine’s diverse readership to mediums that are not juxtaposed in any other publication. Over the last decade Beautiful/Decay has not only remained an independent publication, but has garnered a reputation for [...]
Swindle
” SWINDLE is the definitive popular culture and lifestyle magazine for men and woman. SWINDLE reports on culture from around the world—but also influences it. SWINDLE was created to fill a void. It is a magazine made to be read from cover to cover, over and over—a cultural almanac that can stand the test of [...]
Curve
“Curve is a premier publication dedicated to promoting product design and product development. It is the perfect way for us to reach a significant segment of our target audience. Attitude
Portugal’s premier interior design magazine. I find it to be pretty darn cool. I never knew there was such a design culture in places like Porto and Lisbon.
Juxtapoz
Juxtapoz is one of my three top favorite art magazines. The artists featured are always talented and always out of the NYC Chelsea talent pool which means that it’s fun, quirky, even serious…but without being too lofty. Also, this is where I go (along with the websites: fecal face and wooster collective) when I want [...]

Bidoun
“BIDOUN magazine was created as a platform for ideas and an open forum for exchange, dialogue and opinions about arts and culture from the Middle East. BIDOUN’s primary goal is to bring together cultural expressions from a vast and nuanced region. BIDOUN also addresses some of the widespread misconceptions about the region and its Diaspora [...]

Frame
“Launched in December 1997, Frame is an international magazine on interior design that fuses British and American journalism with the aesthetic flair of an Italian publication. First and foremost, Frame appeals to interior designers. But the magazine also has architects and product designers, as well as their clients, in its sights. The driving force behind [...]
idN
“idN magazine is an international publication for creative people on a mission to amplify and unify the design community in Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world. It has been an active organiser of many design-related events. It is devoted to bringing designers from around the globe together to communicate with, learn from and inspire [...]
Blueprint
“Blueprint is regarded by many around the world as the original design magazine. Following the magazine’s relaunch in September 2006, it was described by The Observer newspaper as the ‘design bible’.
Blueprint is a visual feast. Published monthly, Blueprint is beautifully produced with a large format, excellent quality paper and the highest standards of photography and [...]
