Details about Design Crack:
I started DesignCrack.com originally as a design competition website. I am a designer at the San Francisco architecture firm of David Baker and Partners, and I’ve done tons of competitions over the years. I wanted to create a more interactive competition website, but the reality of life set in and I pared down my original plan.
DesignCrack Version 2: a fun place to store my design digging. I’m always looking for inspiration, and I do this by exploring the city, the web, other cities, looking for things I find beautiful or fascinating.
In the next few weeks, I plan to build in:
- a rating system
- a better user interface for browsing design objects
- better printing and pdf creation
- design tutorials
- design event coverage
I would like to hear about any ideas people would like to see built into the site. Or, if you need to vent, I’m there for you. If you are a recovering crack addict who wants to blast my choice of site names, fuck off. Otherwise, Please write me.
