"Lisbet Friis completed her education at Skolen for Brugskunst in Copenhagen in 1985. Friis works with textiles and colours in public and private spaces. She has accepted commissions for a number of international fashion companies including Epice, In-Wear and Kenzo. Friis has run a business in her own name since 1996 designing and producing limited, exclusive series of interior textiles. She designs for clients like design company Kvadrat besides creating carpets in cooperation with Swedish Kasthall. Lisbet Friis’ works are also represented at the Museum of Art and Design in Copenhagen. Colours, patterns, and the way they are expressed in the fabric are the turning point of Friis’ production. The challenge for her lies in finding and combining the right colours with the right materials."
