I have not tried this phone out, so I cannot speak of the P’9521 by Porsche Design’s usability just yet, but I can say that they have some seriously stiff competition from the iPhone. What I can say that makes this phone unique is the designers’ decision to carve the phone out of a single piece of solid aluminum. Fabricators would call this a billet of aluminum. The process is quite time consuming, but the results are something that cannot be reproduced in any other way. The tooth and shape of an object made out of solid aluminum is an indescribable heft that is quite satisfying. And, although the software technology might not be there like in the iPhone, there is a great deal of comfort and WOW factor with the Porsche Design phone.
