Here is an item that I think breached a curatorial focus in me, and I’ve decided to show it anyway. It does not seem terribly innovative. It’s not particularly clever. It doesn’t use materials in a striking and unexpected way. Really, the only reason I have shown this chair, the Flamenco Chair, is because I just like it. I like is first because the legs of this chair are unreasonably thin. There are just two posts, set off asymmetrically just taunting you to sit in this chair to see if it will break. The asymmetric theme continues up the chair through the arms of the chair sort of mimicking the flow of a gypsy bailador’s dress. Unfortunately the side profile looks nothing like A Flamenco dancer and more closely resembles a Hummer.
