I only include this shoe on the site for Camper’s design innovation concerning it’s shoe string. The name of the shoe is Peu and it has that characteristic Camper look. But the shoe is just so much easier to put on with its one elastic shoe string, that it makes me wonder why shoes have shoe strings anymore in the first place. After I thought about it for a second, it occurred to me that shoe strings are so 18th century. The only reason we’ve used them in our shoes for the last 75 years is simply because of the iconic look shoestrings provide. Thanks Camper for making me rethink the paradigm of the lace.
