I will file this wood and clear acrylic coffee table in my YANRO file. YANRO, of course, stands for Yet Another Noguchi Rip Off. If you’re wondering who Noguchi is and don’t care then please leave this site immediately and don’t come back. If you’ve heard your high-brow friends throw Isamu Noguchi’s name around at parties and need a refresher, follow this link. For those still here, Noguchi is the father of Modern Japanese sculpture and furniture design. He is also famous for his often copied “boomerang” table. Some do it well. Some ruin it. Call me sacreligious, but I like the Saanen Table by Pilippe Cramer better than the Noguchi! Please, no hate mail. It’s something about those transparent legs.
