My close friends sometimes call me crazy for my impulse to constantly buy new domain names. I buy one for every weird idea that pops in my head. You never know when it might come in handy, right? Besides, they cost less than a dollar a month to register. In the past year, I’ve registered orareyoujusthappytoseeme.com, designsthatsuck.net, yahoomazon.com (for my mashup hobby), and yourule.us (a name with some serious potential, I think). Recently, I’ve been getting some whacked emails from Nigerian scammers that are just too funny to keep to myself. So on Saturday, I created LettersFromNigeria.com, a place for my funny spam to reside. My thought for this project is to do nothing and just let the good spam come to me. I was thinking of having contests where people send in their favorite spams with a chance to win prizes for best spam grammar, most number of exclamation points used, or most like avant garde poetry. Or maybe I could hire famous actors to recite beautifully composed spam letters. The ideas are endless.
If anyone has some ideas of how to make this a fantastic and fun site then please leave a comment and let me know what you’d like to see.

LOL. I totally feel you in two regards.
1) I’m convinced that the more domain names I buy, the higher my probability of having someone else come up with a great idea and offer me $$$ to unload it.
2) I know that there must be a way to milk these letters from the motherland (and other countries) for their spamtastic gems. I’ll start rummaging through my email trash to see what I can find.
If you end up seeing letters from the same person, maybe you can offer a prize for the best short, short narrative to be crafted around that persona. Definitely a challenge, but could definitely turn into comedic gold.
