I have found the perfect coffee maker for the coffee lover who is single and in need of everything in his or her life to look like an iPod. (I hate to judge, but that describes half of Silicon Valley!) Its called the WMF 1, which sounds a bit more like bowling machinery or a professional wrestling outfit than it does a coffee maker. You know, I’m ripping a bit on this thing, but the truth is I still want one. So, yeah, they look like an IPod. I wish more of my stuff were as pretty and useful as my iPod. Probably the best thing that this coffee maker has taken from the iPod lesson book is simplicity. This thing only has one button! WHo’s ever seen a coffee maker with anything less than 3 knobs? That was way smart. You don’t have to think. You just push a button and go. Probably the most worrisome aspect of this design is its cup. What happens if you break the cup? It’s obviously an odd shaped cup, so you will not be able to use your coffee maker again until you get a new cup. For those who are die-hards, you will track this company down, and you will order a new cup. But most Americans – me included- will think hard about buying a cup, forget to buy a cup, slowly move this coffee maker into the garage, and after years of wanting to buy a cup throw this coffee machine in a plastic bag and send it to the trash dump.

Simple but beautifully without a doubt. I will probably buy one of those.

I love this.. where can i buy one in the u.s.? i dont see it available on their u.s. website..
