The Wheeler Stool is a cute little product designed by Charlie Davidson. It’s one of those small jazzy pieces that caught my eye as I search through volumes of stuff that have been produced by mankind. Sometimes I wonder to myself how a piece such as this ever makes it to the site seeing that it is post number 513 or so, and human invention probably would rank this down as the 7 thousandth coolest project of the past few years. But, here it is. I guess when something catches my eye, then BAM! (as Emeril would say) it’s on the list. I’m looking for what it is about this piece that is touching my subconcious… You know, I think I’ve got it. The form of the stool mimics the squid somewhat. How utterly strange that this would draw me to it, and yet it does. I also have an affinity for white and shine which may be some iPod induced pavlovian mechanism.
