Jellyfish Sonic by kota nezu of CO/EX

To the best of my knowledge, the Jellyfish Sonic is never going to make it to mass production, which is a real shame. This is a table straight out of War of the Worlds. The table top is a bulbous, alien shape that is made of a clear plastic. Encased in the plastic hovers two speakers and a lamp. The lamp is projecting down through a bowl of water. The effect of the piece becomes known when the music starts. The base pulse through the speakers which, in turn, makes the water vibrate in the bottom of the plastic bowl. The light shining through the water makes a soothing ethereal pattern on the floor. It’s quite amazing to watch, and the video on the CO/EX website really misses the beauty.
