Finding Cheska’s work really went over well last time I presented it. They produce a lung shaped ashtray that is artistic, refined, beautiful, and probably most importantly, ironic. However, the majority of Finding Cheska’s work does not hold such great irony. It’s just straight ahead beautiful. Like this dinner set. It consists of dinner plate, salad plate, cup, and bowl, but the set goes one step further. It also contains a sort of uber plate that nicely contains and complements all the other pieces. I guess you would refer to this as a tray, right? I was thinking about this whole tray setup, and for some reason the idea of prison food tray popped in my head. Both designs are modular, simple, and rugged, after all. I kept thinking if these pieces didn’t sell, then Finding Cheska could always try to move a few items in one of those minimum security white-collar prisons where a tray like this would go over so much better than the typical Sing Sing prison food tray. And if Finding Cheska hires a really good lobbiest in Washington, they could surely sell a ton of these things given that our U.S. government is pretty much for sale (take U.S. contractors in Iraq, for instance)… anyway, I digress. This isn’t a political blog.
