A couple of weeks ago, I was in Austin, Texas for the South by South West Interactive Media Conference. While I was in Austin, I ate barbecue for half my meals. The other half, I ate Tex Mex. This is what you do in Austin, Texas besides drink beer and listen to some live music. S0, my mind has been on barbecue ever since.

What better way to purge my mind of the Texas pastime than to feature a well designed barbecue from Convoi design. Convoi is a Vienna based design team . Their Lambda Grill doesn’t look like much at first glance. But one thing separates this design from all others which is their variable shelving system. This system allows for the coals to be at any height as well as the two separate grills to be at any height. As an avid griller, this is a godsend. Now, I am guaranteed that my chicken will cook perfectly because I have so much more control of its proximity to the fire. When my food is ready, I can then place a grill high above the flame to allow it to stay warm while I cook other stuff. It’s a pretty awesome setup.
