Doshi Levien is a young London design duo with a small collection of product designs under their belt. But, given a few years to develop their portfolio, they will have a great future in design. Why? because of simple products like the doctor bag. There’s nothing much to the Doctor Bag, but simplicity is a strength when there’s so much complicated and fussy stuff out there. I haven’t even figured out quite what you do with it. It kind of looks like some sort of pet carrier, but I like it. Doshi! Levien! if you’re out there doing an ego search and you come upon this article, please comment here about the inspiration for this bag.

This case featured in our imaginary “Wellbeing Centre” installation for the Wellcome Trust. The doctor’s case resembles “A bejewelled object of power or healing” and refers to the convergence between spiritual healing and biomedicine. Clear cast acrylic with embedded Swarovski crystals.

Hi Jonathan. Thanks for adding more information about your project! Did you have a problem adding links? If you’d like, I could add them for you if you want to email me at brandon@designcrack.com. Also, would the two of you be willing to do an email interview? This is where I email you some questions, we go back and forth, and then I would publish this with an image of the two of you. WOuld you be interested?
