To Answer the question above about the beds being available in several firmnesses. The answer is that a king size Hastens mattress can have a split firmness.

And to answer the question about Hastens quality beds for a lower price, check out www.carpediembeds.com Carpe Diem beds are the same quality, they even use many of the same componants as Hastens. They start in the same $4000 price range as Hastens, but the higher end models are considerably less expensive. The Carpe Diem bed that I would consider the closest in comparison to the $27000 Hastens 2000T II is called the Sando and it sells for $16999. The model that I feel is closest to the $16000 Hastens Excelsior II is called the Korno and it sells for $12999.

Good luck and feel free to email me directly with any questions or for literature on both brands.

I have visited the Frankfurt show room and spent alot of time on all of hastens' beds. My girlfriend and I liked the "natural" model the best and it was less than $20,000. We couldn't afford that so we are saving our money. In the mean time bought another popular non green bed. We didn't make it thru the night when we had to take her to the hospital because of the toxic material the mattress was made from. Hastens is the ONLY way to go for allergies. Plus if u can afford $60,000 for a bed you dont bat an eye at the price concidering you spend 1/3 of your life on it, more if your a newlywed, lol. If you dont like the price then slepp on what you can afford or save your money...

60,000 dollars! You have to be kidding. You can buy a German engineered car with thousands of moving parts for that much money. I dont believe in skimping on my bed since we spend a good portion of our lives in it, but thats a bit extreme. There is nothing you could tell me that would justify the cost of a Hastens bed.

Jodie, when you say you can get the beds for 2 people in different firmness options, do you mean that the single mattress comes in many different firmnesses, or that you can have a bed that has one half firm and the other half soft without it being made of air? Am I completely misunderstanding you?

As it has already been said, you can get a very good Hastens bed considerably cheaper than $60,000. Their queen size is available for around $4000. That bed is still a better sleep than most beds on the market that most of us buy. The thing that really sets the Hastens beds apart from the Sealy/Simmons bunch is that it is a GREEN bed, made with all natural filling material, and you can get the beds intended for 2 people in different firmness options. That is why I am saving my money to buy one.

i am a believer
i actually toured the factory in shocking, sweden and saw the artistry and chraftsmanship that went into the making of this bed...the hours and hours...
its like 'couture'...the same womann has been sewing this bed forever...
and the youth that works at the factory are like artists...
i have never seen anything in my life. i also slept on one in a tiny local hotel that has hastens beds in all their rooms at the inn.
it was the most amazing sleep i have evr had, i am not kidding you.
if you do your research, sir, then you will know what the 50, ooo difference is.

Very good question. You should contact the commenter above directly. Hastens does make moderately priced beds that are still very, very good. You don't have to get a $50,000 bed from them to get an awesome sleep from them.

Hello,

I've been looking at a Hastens king bed. I have a Dux queen electronic with the Pascal top and I love it. The problem is one of dimensions only. However, as I have one Dux I would like to try another bed of comparable quality, but slightly less pricey. Is there any king bed for me with Hastens at approx. 50% of the price I paid for my Dux queen electronic? I look foward to your response.
