Alright, alright. This ain’t new, but the chair I’ve included by Ricardo Fasanello made me sit up and take notice. Sometimes I forget that every town, every city, in every country has a culture of design in some manner. Since there are several billion people on this planet, that is a lot of design for me to get through. One small niche that I never explored (until I discovered the Fardos Chair) is Brazilian furniture design. Sure, I studied Brasilia and the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, but I never thought much of the furniture that went into these buildings. I’m embarrased to say that I don’t know much about modern Brazilian furniture design as of today, but at least I know where to buy it! My next blog: the history of brazilian furniture.
