You may remember several months ago that Bombay Sapphire had a competition to redesign the martini glass. Tomek Rygalik was awarded First Prize. The glass is a totally new concept in martini drinking where the stem is held from above. It looks as if it were a splash frozen in a photograph. I also imagine the glass would be less proned to spillage when knocked around at a party. If I had one criticism it would be my purely subjective view that clear glass makes the perception of an extremely clean alcohol where green glass shouts cheap margarita. But, that’s just me.

not quite sure this is so new… I know I will be nitpicking, but in the movie “Auntie Mame” w/ Rosalind Russell, the first party scene when they introduce her friend Vera Charles, Vera is drinking from a glass with a martini bowl and a handle coming off the top, looks like some crazy ladel. but a rather neat looking glass all the same.
So okies I have my little nitpick out of the way, I must say I like the glass, but would prefer to have it in clear.
