Carina Riezebos has created Diva for the Dutch company GOODS in an effort to help beter display top heavy flowers. This high concept piece turns a conventional vase on its side to mimic the angle at which some flowers grow. Carina’s contention is that the natural aesthetic of certain flowers will be enhanced by lying on their sides. I tend to agree that flowers will look striking in this vase if only because of the deep blue mouth of the vase as the backdrop for the flower.
