Pearson Lloyd has designed this system for Spanish furniture maker, Martinez Otero. I think they have built an extremely flexible and beautiful system here. As you would imagine, the system comes in dozens of shapes, sizes, and colors that work together for any need. The system is similar to one I’ve blogged about before called the City Shelving by Marcel Wanders, but this one adds an interesting flair in the form of a mirror on each side of the piece. This mirror sort of opens the space the piece inhabits visually. Although I like the drawer handle detail better on the city shelving, the color choices and finishes of this system are extremely fun and fresh

I saw this system on a recent trip to Grenada. It is a serious ‘wow’. Those of us who look for decent cabinets are aware of how rare excellence is. Interestingly, the system achieves all but one critical matter: attainability. After all that work designing something beautiful then to have no real interest in letting people buy it…in the US. Even the shop I found the piece in seems reluctant to bother with shipping…too much trouble. A shame. There is a Horizon shaped void in my Living Room, waiting…

Good question. There is no one in the U.S. selling the MO line right now. There are several UK retailers. In particular, I like viaduct. If you really want this furniture you may try them at http://www.viaduct.co.uk and see what they can do for yah. Good luck.
