First, let me state that I don’t speak French, which means I probably have no idea what the original concept for these series of pieces are. But I love the pieces all the same. They are primitive, heavy, chunky pieces which make up a kitchen suite. In this suite, we have chairs and a table of solid chunks of wood, a solid concrete oven/cooking surface, and a series of utensils that look to be hacked by a blind child. Regardless of the designs’ efficiency and practicality, the concept is completely fresh and novel, and has not been seen in the design world since the stone age. I commend you, Anne-Laure Martins.
