London Design Links: Danish Embassy / Townhouse DK

“The Townhouse DK will open as a showroom in mid September during the London Design Festival and will remain open as a Danish design showroom for the rest of the year.
The Danish companies will use the townhouse as a daily showroom and for special events, speeches and meetings with clients and contacts. The idea is to create a lively and inspiring environment, where people are encouraged to interact with Danish design in a new way. Townhouse DK is an opportunity for the Danish companies to “invite the UK market home”.
The Danish Trade Council has partnered with a local property developer to redesign the entire townhouse with Danish furniture and design.  The townhouse is located in a mews close to major attractions such as V&A, the National History Museum, Harrods and the well known shopping street Kings Road – the perfect platform for promoting Danish design in the heart of London. Danish designer, René Hougaard, has designed the house and works together with the trend setting London based architect practise CGL, to showcase current trends in Danish design together with traditional quality products from Denmark.” -Townhouse DK
